Free CMP-08 working for composition dealers
Pick your business type and the quarter. Sales from your saved bills of supply are added up, the composition rate is applied, reverse charge tax and interest are added, and you see the cash to pay by the 18th, split into CGST and SGST.
Loading your saved bills…
Sales are filled from your saved bills of supply and cash memos. Move exempt sales to their own box and type anything else.
How to make a CMP-08 working here
- Make your bills of supply here first. Set your registration to "Composition" in My data; then billing.niveshsahayak.in and cash-memo.niveshsahayak.in make bills of supply with the composition note, and this page adds them up.
- Pick your business type. Trader 1%, manufacturer 1%, restaurant 5%, or service provider under the ₹50 lakh scheme 6%. The rate is CGST and SGST/UTGST together.
- Pick the quarter. April–June, July–September, October–December or January–March. The due date is the 18th of the month after.
- Check the boxes. Move exempt sales (for example fresh vegetables a grocer sells) into their own box, add reverse charge tax and any interest.
- Pay and file. Make a challan for the total in the electronic cash ledger, then file CMP-08 on the GST portal. See how to file CMP-08.
- Watch the limit. The bar shows how much of the ₹1.5 crore (or ₹75 lakh) limit this year's turnover has used.
What it does for you
- Right rate for each business: 1% for traders on taxable sales only, 1% for manufacturers and 5% for restaurants on all turnover in the state, 6% for small service providers.
- Fills sales from your bills of supply and cash memos, less credit notes.
- Adds reverse charge tax from self invoices (purchases from unregistered suppliers where reverse charge applies), which composition dealers also pay.
- Splits CGST and SGST/UTGST half and half, as the CMP-08 form asks.
- Tracks the composition limit and warns at 80% and when it is crossed.
- Saves a working per quarter in your data home, to print or share as a PDF.
Your data stays with you
The working uses the bills saved in your Nivesh Sahayak data home (my.niveshsahayak.in). Nothing is sent to us or to the GST portal; you file CMP-08 yourself.
